Bunge prevails on Energy budget Minister for Energy and Minerals

THE annual budget estimates for the Ministry of Energy and Minerals has been withdrawn from the National Assembly for reworking because reports and proposals therein have failed to satisfy Members of Parliament. The estimates will be tabled again after three weeks.

Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda intervened on Monday evening after a heated, emotion-charged debate earlier in the day, to ask Parliamentarians for another chance to work on the estimates. The MPs agreed unanimously.
