Perform well, directors urged

DIRECTORS in Tanzania have been urged to perform their functions well so that their companies could achieve maximum benefit for the welfare of the country.

The call to that end was made by Juma Meli, the deputy governor of Bank of Tanzania at an annual meeting held in Dar es Salaam recently.

He said failure to do so will lead to immediate expulsion and legal action to be taken against them.

"If you fail to meet the set standards would lead to immediate expulsion and also legal action to be taken against all failures," he stressed.

The one day meeting brought all directors of various companies across the country.
